wanted to blog wat happened at the oln game yesterday but was so shag man. put nana to bed n i fell asleep also. couldn't get up at all.

anyway..wana know wat happened at the game? let's track back abit to the previous happenings 1st.

oln lost to evergreen during north zone finals by 1 penalty goal after the final whistle. everyone was bummed out at tat results. meant the grouping in the nationals would be much tougher.

true enough. everygreen was placed in a damn easy group. marymount, mgs n another sch tat i can't recall. n they trash every team n top the group. lucky them. or should i say, blessed them..

s for oln. we had olgc ( wahlau), unity..and TK...our arch rival...s u can read from my last blog, we had quite a few encounters wit them last year. anyway, we trashed olgc and drew wit tk after a tough fight. final results would depend on goal difference between tk n oln. tat depended on the last match which took place yesterday.

here's the silver lining...olgc is under me also...n of course they're not too bad. not s strong s oln but the spirit is the same. both fighters...olgc played wit tk n oln wit unity.

thanx god for oln, they had the 2nd game...which means they could c how many goals tk scored against olgc n calculate exactly how many goals they need to top the group..

another ting oln has to be thankful for is that they're playin unity instead of olgc for tis crucial match. unity lost to olgc which means they're easier to score against. n since olgc is under me also, i could psyche the team up to fight harder n defend tighter against tk. n my olgc defenders r one of the most powerfulest...my charmaine n eriko have been scouted by rgs ah!!! dun pray pray.. heh heh...anyway, all jokes aside, olgc defenders r really not bad. tall n quick.

so tk scored 33-5 against olgc. which means after calculatin their total score, oln needs to have a goal difference of 34 to top the group.

final score of oln against unity....54-10...goal difference...44

we top the group!!!!!!!!!

do u know wat tat means? it meant tat our round 2 group is slightly easier than the other group. y i say slightly n not much?...coz s long s a team makes it into round 2, it means tat tat team has substance to them n not to be taken lightly.

anyway, y slightly easier?

there're 5 giants in this nationals who're in the running to be in the top 4. st margs. kellock. oln. tk. and evergreen. n since oln n tk has already been together in round 1, tat means tat tk will definately been in the other group wit 2 other giants. n only 2 from tat group will make it thru to the quarter finals...

whereas in our group, only 2 giants n 2 mini giants. i'm not lookin down on them. i know we have to fight them s hard. complacency will be the cause of our downfall...

s for my juniors...

they got a huge trashin from me yesterday..they were up against olgc ( again!! ) and of course i couldn't coach either teams so it was up to the teachers. olgc has meow. they were lucky s meow's experienced n know how to lead them n prepare them mentally. oln had hui min. she's new in tis line n neva played netball b4. she tried her best but she's too nice n the gals took advantage of her. played a fool wit her instead of warming up seriously. they knew wat to do s i've taught them a warmup routine n have 2 captains to lead them.

n because they weren't serious n were also complacent s they've trashed olgc b4 in a friendly, they got a huge trashin from olgc in the 1st 3 quarters. olgc led in the 1st n 3rd quarters. oln led in the 2nd by only 1 goal. final score...oln won by only 4 goals. n tat's only last minute when they realised they were about to lose the game...

tis coming from a game of zonal champs vs zonals 4th. but like i said b4, s long s a team makes it into the nationals, dun pray pray wit them.. anyway, hope oln juniors have learnt their lesson n get more serious..they're definately too playful.

n lastly, i wana dedicate this post to my OLGC players.

i'm so proud of them. both teams. they've fought well n had the 'neva say die' attitude. n they've improve in their play every game.

my seniors have grown so much since i 1st took them 2 yrs ago. they were so mixed up n blur but they grew into a team of fighters.. they're jus pretty unlucky in their grouping.

same goes for my juniors. they're so spunky n fast but they had to be in a group ware they meet oln. i only formed my junior team at the very last minute. my WA, hanyun, only played WA for the 1st time during their 1st game in the zonals. against st marg somemore. n they only lost to st marg by 3 goals. can u imagine tat? we were estatic den!!

i feel so much for olgc. i can c my work in them. n their fight in me..

thanx god my throat dun hurt anymore...but now i've completely n totally lost my voice.

at 1st was quite bummed out by this s i had really impt games yesterday.. oln vs tkps remember? wana know the results?

let me run thru the game for u 1st....startin wit my feelings..

how do i feel s their coach? happy of coz. m so proud of them. they played well. my sharmaine lasted all 4quarters n performed in every quarter. it's not easy being the GD. well...it's not easy being any of the positions. even my dear GS, richelle, was shagged out running so much. usually she jus stand her usually position n block for her lop space n the feeders will lop in a high pass to her n she catch n shoot. but tk's GK was pushin her out from behind so she wasn't ablt to block for a lop n had to run out for the ball everytime n run back into to work wit jiloti...tat's my GA. but all the pushin frok tk's gk din work. my richelle still could get the ball everytime n put the goal in.

of coz not all the quarters were good. 1st was good. they usually dun perform well in 1st quarter. but yesterday was an exception. score 5-5.

2nd was fantastic. oln really power man. we pulled up to lead 12-9.

3rd went down abit s the weather was blastin n the heat was unbearable. we dropped the lead to 14-15.

but the last quarter was a good fight for both teams. it was 1goal for dem n 1goal for us, 1goal for dem n 1goal for us. n final score...20-20..

know wat the best part was? GOD is good. all tings really work together for the good. at 1st i really was very upset at the lost of my voice. means tk had an advantage s the teacher could coach dem thruout the game. n his voice could be quite discouragin for my gals. but me losing my voice turned out to be better!!! my gals wasn't stressed n pressured. tk was gettin it quite bad from their teacher everytime they made a mistake or miss a shot. n my gals all found some things tat he said pretty amusing so they weren't really influenced by his shoutin..

oln played so well coz they were happy. happy players always play better. even if they dun win, they will stil go away loving the game...

so now it's up to tmr's game to c if tk or oln top the group. i tink we stand a better chance s it'd be easier to score against unity than olgc. the team tat score more wil top the group n go into round2 will the better group. i hope..it all depends on the drawing..

oln juniors won in the morning. against mgs. 29-4. i tink somethin li tat la. oln juniors must work harder in round2 if they wana go all the way to top4. olgc juniors lost to pasir irs. pasir ris played well yesterday compared to against oln on monday..olgs seniors won unity. it's a waste they're in the same groupin s oln n tk. but they played well yesterday also. charmaine n eriko really worked very well together. sheetal n sherlyn rotated perfectly n the midfielders killed the centre third man..

i love my job..

hurts so much..

MY throat...HURTS...actually it doesn't really hurt hurt..jus tat i have totally n competely lost my voice. it's all from the ful day of coaching yesterday n the game at nite..all my schools won in the day. but my club lost in the nite. oh well. my schools're more important to me.

but now without my voice, i wonder how i'm gonna cope tmr man..important game tmr. very big. it's not the placing tat's big, it's who we're playin against. TKPS.
last year we had so many run ins wit them.
friendly-we lost.
game in KL-we lost.
game in nationals round 1-we lost.
friendly b4 nationals round 2-we lost.

but...there was a final game. it's fate. God's will...after all the fighting in our groups, we met again in the final game. semis- 3rd 4th placing for the nationals. n the results is..........

we won!!!! we had a draw n went into extra timing n final score.

tk - 19.

yay...

n tmr we're meetin them again. players have changed. we've changed our WA n they've changed our GS. wonder how we'd fare..

u know wat. i wun be surprised if we lose. it's quite typical of oln. no matter wat the results is tmr, we'd stil go into 2nd round. tat's not urgent enough for my gals to fight. sigh...so irritating. but tat's the style of tis team. only if it's the finals, den u'd c the fire in the team..quite bad sportsmanship...but it's abit too late to correct them on tis.

wel. at least they're committed. not like a certain player i have in tis team who chooses to stay or quit depending on her feelings. now she sucks s a player. serious...she's a very smart n great player but due to her inconsistency n lack of commitment to the team, her play has deproved (is there such a word?) so badly. from main n star player to reserve. now the gal replacing her is gettin so much better. she's done so well in the game yesterday.

oh well...u lose 1, u gain 1..

i thank god for my olgc teams also. they may not be s strong. but they're good gals. definately very committed players. lots of potential in tat school. it's jus tat they started off late, unlike oln. given time, i'm sure i can transform tis school into a top team like oln also. wat's more, their support in netball is stronger than in oln.

anyway...i set up tis blog weeks ago but havent posted anythin yet..reason being i din know wat to write. dun really wana write bout my life. coz tare's nothin to write about. nothin bout family coz tat's so cliche. so i've decided. i'm gonna dedicate my blog to my coaching. jus to talk bout my schools, teams n results.
